The Royal Wedding

As part of History we have been studying a current event, the Royal Wedding. The children in Mrs Emery's English group have made invitations to surprise the general public, just as Prince Harry and Ms Meghan Markle did. Class 5 thoroughly enjoyed acting out the Royal Wedding, then celebrating with our guests at afternoon tea.

Class 9’s poems are ‘eggsalent’…

Class 9 have produced some wonderful Easter inspired poetry, we hope you enjoy it.

Today we worked outside to put our time telling skills to the test. First we used our bodies to represent the hands of a clock. One for the minutes and one for the hours. As a class we worked together to help the hands move to the correct time. Then we each drew our own clock and wrote on a variety of different times. We now know our time to the hour, half past, quarter past, quarter to and in 5 minute intervals.

Year 3 Orienteering

Year 3 have started orienteering for their P.E. unit, they had to find numbers to add together and find the special code to get them onto the field.

On the field they had letters to find and reorder to find the magic word.

They did great working in pairs.
